What about a fishing license?

If your fishing trip takes place on the Willamette River, you’ll need a valid Oregon fishing license. This applies to all anglers regardless of residency. The Willamette is internally within Oregon, so even if you’re coming from Vancouver, WA. Only an Oregon license is valid here. Fishing the Columbia River, it’s a bit different because it serves as the border between Oregon and Washington. If you’re fishing the Columbia River, you can legally use either state’s fishing license no matter where you meet your guide. This flexibility makes it easy for Washington anglers to enjoy the Columbia River without worrying about license restrictions.
