I have been fishing on the Columbia river for Sturgeon and shad. Shad fishing has been OK the last few days not great just ok. One of the best areas to troll is near buoy 10, which is at the mouth of the Columbia River as all the fish have to come past this to get upriver on the incoming tide. May 15/2009 Today I was sturgeon fishing in the Columbia River. I was down by roster rock. What a day we had. the weather was nice, a little wind not too bad. I had 2 people on the boat. we were in about 65 feet of water. I had last year smelt for bate. we had 17...It’s Salmon Season!
