We are offering winter adventures for crabbing and fishing in the comfort of a covered and heated boat. We fish in the Portland area and also on the Oregon coast. Check out our website for more information and to book your adventure!

Oregon crabbing

Marvin’s Guide Service will be offering crab fishing trips in November, December, and January.
We will be crab fishing either in Tillamook Bay on the Oregon Coast or on the lower Columbia River off the Oregon and Washington Coasts, depending on weather conditions. If we go to Tillamook Bay, we will meet at the Garibaldi Marina in Garibaldi, Oregon. If we’re on the lower Columbia River, we meet at the Hammond Marina in Hammond, Oregon.

Don’t let the rain spoil your crabbing trip. We fish from a covered and heated boat, and have extra rain gear available if you need it.

Fishing regulations limit crab take to 12 Dungeness crabs per person. That’s a lot of crab! Why not treat your guests to a fresh seafood feast this season? Or take them on a crabbing adventure!

Marvin’s Guide Service offers special rates for crab fishing only. The rates are $135 per person for up to five people. These are for crab trips only and do not include fishing for other species. If you would like to fish for other species, please contact us for a quote.

Marvin’s Guide Service will help with the cooking and cleaning your crab. Learn more here.

When I take clients crabbing near Astoria in November, full crab traps like this are the norm. We typically catch a lot of crab, and our clients always have a great time.

Fishing in Portland

We offer sturgeon fishing trips in Portland, Oregon. While you’re here, you can catch and release dinosaurs—that’s right, dinosaurs! Our sturgeon fishing trips are catch-and-release only, but there’s plenty of action.

Be sure to click here and check out all of our adventures for salmon, sturgeon, and walleye, where we fish on the Columbia and Willamette Rivers around Portland, OR, and on the Oregon coast.
