Columbia River Spring Salmon Season 2012

It is set. The 2012 Columbia River Spring Chinook Salmon season is going to be a short season but I predict a very good season. Oregon and Washington are predicting 314,200 Chinook Salmon to return up the Columbia River, which would be the fourth-largest recorded.
Bonneville Dam Pool Sturgeon Fishing Report 1-9-2012

Here is a quick Sturgeon fishing report for the Bonneville pool. fishing was fair to good this weekend; there were more Sturgeon caught closer to Hood River. I only heard of a few Sturgeon caught down by the Cascade Locks area. While I did put my boat in at Cascade locks, I would head up the Columbia River about 8 or 10 miles. Most Sturgeon were caught in deep water, about 80 feet or better. Water temperatures were about 40 degrees.

I was on Willamette River Sturgeon fishing today (10-30-11). Sturgeon fishing on the Willamette River is catch and release this time of year and since the Willamette River always has a lot of action, it is a great place to fish.

Today 9-8-2011 I had to guys that wanted to do some Sturgeon fishing on the Columbia River, The river is catch and release this time of year, but that was ok because we were after the monster Sturgeon of the Columbia River anyway! I met up with Denny and Duane at 615 am at the fishery witch is just a few miles down River from Bonneville Dam.Both of the guys have fished with me on many different fishing trips.

The other day I had to take my boat to the shop because it was running bad. I took it to Cascade Marine.
While I was there. Cascade Marine showed me what was wrong with the boat. I saw how much water had accumulated in the gas tank. When the tech took off the screw on water fuel separator and dumped it into a clear container.
