Portland Fishing

With spring Chinook salmon fishing coming to end of the season Portland fishing will head to the Oregon coast.

Portland fishing was one of the best spring salmon seasons I have seen in years. We started fishing in Portland in March on the Columbia River for salmon.

April, we moved into the Willamette River. Spring salmon just keep coming up the river, Infact even know I’m done with the spring salmon as of July 10 there are still salmon be caught in the Portland area.

Now it’s time to head to the Superbowl of salmon on fishing world famous Bouy 10.

I will start catching salmon middle of July just out past the mouth of the Columbia River in the Pacific Ocean.

Columbia River will open up to keep salmon August 1.

After August 1, some of the best salmon fishing will be around Astoria bridge.

salmon fishing will continue in Astoria area through September caching Chinook and coho salmon.

In September in addition to salmon fishing will also be dropping crab pots for your adventure.
