My boat is 27 feet long and also covered and heated for your fishing and crabbing comfort. I will be doing crab fishing trips on the lower Columbia River around the Astoria, Oregon, area. When crabbing in the Astoria area, I will use the Hammond Marina, which is just 10 minutes from Astoria. I also offer crabbing trips to Tillamook Bay. When crabbing Tillamook Bay, I use the Garibaldi marina just outside of Tillamook.
Crab fishing dates.
The best season for crabbing is October, November, and December.
Crab limits.
Limits of 12 Dungeness crab per person are usually pretty easy to come by when using quality bait. My favorites are the shad and tuna parts.
Crab cooking.
When crabbing in Hammond If you like crab cooking, will be available at the marina at Big Game Fishing. Crab cooking is an additional charge through Big Game Fishing Bait Shop.
