Marvin’s Guide Service offers guided salmon fishing, sturgeon fishing, walleye fishing, Buoy 10 salmon charters, and Oregon Coast crabbing trips throughout Oregon and the Columbia River system.
Marvin Henkel has over 25 years of experience guiding Oregon waters and helping clients catch salmon, sturgeon, walleye, crab, and more on some of the Northwest’s best fisheries.
Trips are run from a comfortable covered and heated boat with rods, reels, bait, tackle, electronics, and safety equipment included.
Trips are $250 per person.
Peak spring, summer, and Buoy 10 fishing dates can fill quickly, especially for weekends and prime salmon seasons.

Guided Oregon Fishing Trips
Marvin’s Guide Service offers full-day guided fishing trips throughout Oregon and the Columbia River system. Depending on the season, trips may target spring Chinook salmon, fall Chinook salmon, coho salmon, sturgeon, walleye, bottom fish, and winter crabbing opportunities.
Trips may take place near Portland, Astoria, Buoy 10, St. Helens, the Columbia River Gorge, the Willamette River, and other productive seasonal fisheries around Oregon and Washington.

Before You Book Your Fishing Trip
- Full-day trips usually require a minimum of two people.
- If you are a single angler with flexible dates, Marvin may be able to add you to an existing group.
- Please bring your own food, beverages, and a valid fishing license.
- Dress for changing weather conditions on the Columbia River and Oregon Coast.

Fishing Trip Cancellation Policy
- If Marvin’s Guide Service cancels your trip, you will receive a full refund.
- If unsafe weather or river conditions prevent fishing and you cannot reschedule within one year, you will receive a full refund.
- If you cancel more than 2 weeks before your trip, you may reschedule or receive a full refund.
- Cancellations with less than 2 weeks’ notice may result in forfeiting the deposit unless the trip can be rebooked.
