What To fish On The Columbia River

The Columbia River hold all kind of different fish, if your a beginner or a pro the Columbia River is for you.

First of all the Columbia river is known for the salmon runs, we have spring salmon, Summer Salmon, and the big run of fall Salmon.

Or maybe you just Like Steelhead fishing, well then the Columbia River gorge has some of the best steelhead fishing around, you can fish from a boat or off the bank.

There are plenty of Walleye to be found on the Columbia River, experts say the next record Walleye should come out of the lower Columbia River. I plan on catching that Walleye!

Now the Monster fish, one of Marvin’s Guide Service favorite fish on the Columbia River is the White Sturgeon.
The Columbia river holds Sturgeon in it over 12 feet long and upwards of 900 pounds.

Bass, crappie, catfish, are just a few more to name.

    is there places to bank fish for sturgeon on the columbia? I live in greasham and would like to find a spot close if there is one.

      Hey James,

      You can Sturgeon fish at the view point on I 84. I have also see Sturgeon caught at Corbet boat ramp, just cast straight out.

        Marvin thank you for your response on my question.

        I was also wondering do you use 3 to 4 lb shad from the bank too? i would think that would be kind of hard to cast lol. any suggestions.
