Fall is here, so time for fishing and crab fishing in Tillamook Bay. Tillamook Bay is on the Oregon coast about 2 hours from Portland, Oregon.

King Salmon in Tillamook Bay can get up to 50 pounds with the average salmon being about 25 pounds.

When you fish at Tillamook Bay with Marvin’s Guide Service you get to fish and we will also drop the crab pots in the water for you. Tillamok Bay is known for its great crab fishing. Don’t worry about cooking or cleaning the crab Marvin’s Guide Service will do that for you as well and prepare your salmon for your trip home.

We troll for the King salmon with Herring, I like to troll close to the bottom so I use anywhere from 6 to 16 Oz of lead to keep my bait down in the water.

Marvin’s Boat is covered and heated so don’t be afraid of the rain.

Call Marvin now to get in the action at Tillamook Bay!

Well here it is April already, Spring Salmon fishing is in full swing. Fishing on the Columbia River at Davis bar is starting to pick up been seeing more and more fish caught every day.

Fishing above the I 5 bridge has been a great place to fish on the open days. you can fish below the I 5 Bridge 7 days a week. make sure you check for updated fishing laws fish and wild life can close the river at any time..

Willamette River is closed to Sturgeon, you may catch and release. Sturgeon fishing on the Willamette River has been great. Herring has been the hot bait.

Sturgeon fishing in the Columbia River Gorge is starting to pick up with both keeper size fish, and even some
over size fish. You may keep Sturgeon Thursday, Friday, and Saturday only.

Marvin’s Guide Service has open dates so calll now and fish from a coverd and heated boat.

Let me tell you last year we had plenty of action, and expecting more this year, WOW!!!!

Now were to fish? anchor or troll? I will be doing both, for me it all depends on the weather and the speed of the river. If I troll I only troll down river with 6 t0 10 oz of lead, I like to troll hearring, I want my sinker to hit the bottom every few seconds, When you get a strike there is no doubt the fish is there.

If we have lot of current I will anchor my boat. I like to use jet divers, let the line out about 50 or 60 feet behind the boat, put the rod in the holder, and then go sit under the top with a heater. When that spring salmon hits the diver, wow your fishing pole is doubled over and the fight is on!

If you are thinking of booking a spring salmon fishing trip call soon.
Dont forget to visit my home page at www.fastactionfishing.com

I look forward to seeing you all on the river!!
