We fish from buoy 10, which is the mouth of the Columbia river, all the way up the Columbia river gorge to Bonneville Dam. We also fish Tillamook Bay, Sandy river, Willamette river and Clackamas river.

I grew up in Portland Oregon fishing with my dad from catching salmon to sturgeon and anything else I could get to bite. Years later I found a way to make a living out of it and enjoy it every single day.

From small groups to large groups Marvin’s Guide service Will accommodate you and your group.

We fish from a 23 foot Covered/Heated Alumaweld. We only use top quality gear and FRESH bait.

I’m fully licensed and insured as a full-time guide and will spare no effort to ensure that you and your friends/family have the fishing trip of a lifetime.
We are fishing salmon and steelhed right now.
Also time to start thinking about Astori Bouy 10 salmon fishing in August.

Today we were fishing on the Columbia river below Bonneville dam. I met my clients at 6:15 am.

I decided not too fish for shad today because shad fishing has been kinda slow and I had enough from the night before.

I headed down the Columbia river. I anchored my boat in what is called the flats.

It turned out that not fishing for shad was a good idea. I got all four lines in the water and I looked over at one of the rods and it was going crazy.

I set the hook and handed the pole off. Turns out this sturgeon was 49 inches, Which is a keeper. Before I could get the pole baited up again I heard line ripping off one of the other poles.

I set the hook and the fight was on.Turns out this Sturgeon was about 7 and a half foot.

It was not a bad morning for the first hour or 2. We fished till around 1 oclock and all we ended up with shakers. Although we lost a keeper right up too the boat.

Turned out to be a great day on the Columbia river. I hope to see this family on the Columbia river again..

Until next time tight lines.
