It is open – the crazy fishery on the mouth of the Columbia River Buoy 10 King Salmon fishing. You should be excited about this one, I know I am. With big numbers of Chinook salmon, one of the best returns since 2004 predicted this year and a great run of Sliver Salmon it will be a wild time with lots of hook ups.

With May just around the corner and being in Portland,Oregon it is time to start thinking about Sturgeon fishing on the Columbia River.
May is also a great time to do Salmon fishing on the lower Willamette River. You could even do a half day of Salmon fishing on the Willamette then do the second half of the day Sturgeon fishing on the Columbia River.

Willamette Rive in Oregon Holds many different kinds of fish. Like Spring salmon, Winter Steelhead, Coho Salmon, Sturgeon, Bass, and Walleye. these fish are probably the most sought after fish in Oregon.

Buoy 10 Salmon fishing is just around the corner, August is the time.
We will be fishing for King Salmon and Coho Salmon on the Columbia River. Experts say it will be another great run of fall Salmon up the Columbia River.

Willamette River Spring Chinook Salmon Fishing

There are lot’s of places to fish for Chinook salmon on the Willamette River.
I will just talk about a few for now.The First spot I like to Salmon fish is were the Channel comes into the Willamette River. I troll in this area of the River. The water is around 15 to 20 feet deep, I like to bounce the bottom when I fish this area.
