If you want to fish in the Portland Oregon area in June or July we have some great sturgeon fishing and Steelhead fishing. Sturgeon up to 10 feet or bigger. Steelhead range from 5 to 20 pounds.

Summer salmon on the Columbia River is now open. This just might be one of my favorite times of the year to fish. You can go out and do a half day of Salmon fishing and a half day of Sturgeon fishing.

On June 6th, I got to the boat ramp at 6 a.m. Man was it raining hard and I did not have my top on the boat.
Pat, Mike, Tom, and I left the dock and headed out on the river. I got the anchor set and threw the first line in the water. The Columbia River is high and fast, I was using 32 oz to stay on the bottom.

I got a phone call a few weeks ago from fox 12, asking if I wanted to go fishing again with Andy Carson and Donetta James from Oregon Beach Vacations! Of course I said yes.

I headed up the Columbia River. What a nice morning on the river, no wind. I reached the Roster Rock area, and dropped my anchor. I looked around and wow, I was the only boat on the Columbia River.

With Salmon fishing done on the Columbia River, it is now Sturgeon time on the Columbia River.
You will find some good Sturgeon fishing on the Columbia River at the Mouth of the Willamette River.

For me it is the battle the fish puts up when you get that hook up. That is why Sturgeon Fishing on the Columbia River just might be one of my favorite fish to catch!

Well here it is April already, Spring Salmon fishing is in full swing. Fishing on the Columbia River at Davis bar is starting to pick up been seeing more and more fish caught every day.

March 19-10 Good Day Oregon said they wanted to fish with me again!! I thought I was lucky to have them fish and do the show on my boat one time, now they wanted to do it again, SWEET!!!!
