I like to drop my crab pots on the north side of the south jetty.

Then I start to salmon fish on the bar right by the coast guard tower.

If the tide is not to hard I will troll against it with about 10 to 16 oz of lead.

Trolling with the tide is always a good bet, Start trolling by the tower and work your way all the way in to the ghost hole.

Troll cut plug herring or hole hearring i like to use hole.

Go and check the crab pot’s every hour or so re bate.

have fun.
I have been fishing on the Washington side by the dead line.

The Columbia River is very low now so watch out. I am having trouble putting my boat in the water at the fishery, If you have a big boat you might think about putting in a Chinook landing in Troutdale and run up the Columbia River.

Sturgeon fishing is good, but catch and release only.

Tillamook Bay opened up on the first should be a great season down there.

Fish with Marvin’s fishing guide Service and we will not only fish for Chinook salmon, we will also have crab pots in the Bay.

Call Marvin’s Guide Service and lets talk fishing today.

For the first time In thirty-five years I went salmon fishing. At Buoy 10. I caught two beautiful Cohos, about 12 pounds each. That’s no fish story, I’ve got the pictures to prove it. Marvin gave us superb service and guaranteed we’d catch salmon today, and we did.
What more can you hope for from a fishing guide.
Tonight when my wife and I are eating the sublime salmon, I’ll be thinking of my Dad, my family and my new friend Marvin and counting my blessings.
Call it beginners luck, but it was splendid.
It sure “sucked to be me” today.

feeling the spray in my face, smelling the salt air brought back childhood memories of fishing with my Dad, wwho passed away a few years ago. An emotionally soaked experience this was, but it was as “all good.”
Thank you Marvin, thank you very much.
When can we do it again?
