Oregon and Washington agreed to reopen Bonneville Pool, for Sturgeon fishing, this is the section of the Columbia River between Bonneville Dam and The Dalles Dams, for two three-day periods. The first Sturgeon season will start on June 30, July 1 and July 2, and the second Sturgeon season is from July 7-9. after the July 9 date, the reservoir will again close to sturgeon retention for the remainder of the year. This reopening was possible because about 400 fish remain on the Bonneville Pool guideline from the winter fishing season.

Sturgeon must be between 38 inch and 54 inch to keep, you may keep one Sturgeon each, you may catch and release after you tag your Sturgeon. Good luck, and be safe out there.
