Columbia River Buoy 10 Salmon fishing

It is open – the crazy fishery on the mouth of the Columbia River Buoy 10 King Salmon fishing. You should be excited about this one, I know I am. With big numbers of Chinook salmon, one of the best returns since 2004 predicted this year and a great run of Sliver Salmon it will be a wild time with lots of hook ups.
Sturgeon Reopen Above Bonneville Dam

Oregon and Washington agreed to reopen Bonneville Pool, for Sturgeon fishing, this is the section of the Columbia River between Bonneville Dam and The Dalles Dams, for two three-day periods. The first Sturgeon season will start on June 30, July 1 and July 2, and the second Sturgeon season is from July 7-9. after the July 9 date, the reservoir will again close to sturgeon retention for the remainder of the year. This reopening was possible because about 400 fish remain on the Bonneville Pool guideline from the winter fishing season.
Columbia river fishing report June 7 2009

I have been fishing on the Columbia river for Sturgeon and shad.
Shad fishing has been OK the last few days not great just ok.
I look forward to the shad fishing picking up next week I think if we can get some sunny days on the river that will help.
