Good Day Sturgeon fishing on the Columbia River

by on May.07, 2009, under Columbia River, Fishing Guide, General, Salmon, Sturgeon, Walleye

Today I arrived at the boat ramp awaiting my customers to arrive. They did at 6:30 am.

We headed down the Columbia river, Where I anchored up what as the flats.I was in about 62 ft of water.

After 4 or 5 small Sturgeon We hooked my first Oversized of the season. My clients faught it for about an hour it was a little over 8 foot.

It sure was a suprise for For them when they got it too the boat.

As the day went on we caught 4 or 5 small sturgeon And one keeper Sturgeon at 47 inches long.

Not a bad day for 2 people in the boat.

Everyone is very excited! There will be 5 in the boat for sure for the salmon trip. Thanks again. I have some sturgeon on the smoker now. Sunday night we used the Pride of the West, seems like it’s good eating any way you cook it.

Looking forward to Seeing you in the fall,

    Debbie
